The Producer Price Index (PPI) increased by 15.3 percent by the end of Bahman (11th month of the Persian calendar ending February 20th) compared to the same period last year, according to the latest report released by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI). The CBI report also shows that over the same period the PPI stood at 207.6, which is 0.8 percent less compared to a month earlier. The PPI, which is in fact a family of indexes, measures the average change in selling prices received by domestic producers of goods and services over time. It measures price change from the perspective of the seller.
