The ban on the import of fertilized chicken eggs and day-old chicks from France has been lifted, Jamaledin Javidi, an official in Iran Veterinary Organization (IVO) told Mehr news agency on Wednesday. The ban was placed last September due to the outbreak of avian influenza in European countries, he said. “The lifting of the ban took effect ten days ago after it was made sure that the French products are safe and healthy,” Javidi added.
