Afghanistan is the fourth major export destination for Iranian commodities, Iran’s Ambassador to Kabul, Mohammad Reza Bahrami said in the gathering of Iranian industrialists and businessmen attending a joint exhibition in Kabul, IRNA reported. Afghanistan is an important and a lucrative market for both private sector and state-owned companies of Iran, he said. The official stressed the need to pave the way for further active participation of the Iranian private sector companies in the neighboring country. The Iranian Exclusive Trade Expo has been inaugurated in the Afghan capital in the presence of Vice-President for Executive Affairs Mohammad Shariatmadari. Shariatmadari, who arrived in Kabul on Monday, is scheduled to meet with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and the country’s Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah.
