Iran’s current $2.5-billion share in the $10-billion Afghan market can be increased to $6 billion in the near future, Farhad Mojallali, an official in Trade Promotion Organization said, according to the Organization’s website. Referring to the various exhibitions that Iran has held in Afghanistan, Mojallali said Iran’s next exposition in the neighboring country will be held on February 17-20. “Afghanistan is a developing country and Iran can seize the opportunity to expand its presence in the market via launching joint production units with afghan firms,” the official added.
