Trade between Iran and the Chinese southern province of Guan Dong stood at $15 billion in 2014, Jae-Young Fang Chen, the Chinese deputy governor said in her meeting with Ali-Reza Salarian, the Iranian consul general in Guan Dong, IRNA reported on Saturday. During the meeting which was held in China, both sides expressed readiness to expand mutual economic, trade, as well as cultural ties. In February 2014, Iran and China signed an agreement to finalize the roadmap to double bilateral trade over the course of three years. Establishing an industrial park in Iran and creating a joint shipping line are other parts of the roadmap.
