Twenty-one million metric tons of non-oil goods, valued at $16 billion, were exported via the southern province of Bushehr’s customs during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (ending 20 March), posting a 28% increase compared to the similar period last year, a senior official at Bushehr Customs Office, Mohsen Taheri, said on Friday.  

“Industrial, agricultural and mineral commodities were exported via Bushehr customs,” he said, which places the province on top of other 147 provinces; he was quoted by Mehr news agency as saying.

Nearly 4.8 million tons of handmade commodities, valued at a total of $732 million, were exported via Bushehr customs, and 38 metric tons of agricultural products, valued at $50 million, were exported via the zone in the similar period.

“More than 1.4 million tons of mineral products, valued at a total of $72 million, and 20 million tons of industrial goods, valued at $16 billion, were exported via Bushehr customs in the said period,” he further underlined.

Ahmad Pourheydar, a senior officer at Bushehr customs, said on Friday that the customs generated over $836 million in revenues during the first ten months of the current Iranian year.

He said Bushehr customs revenues during the first ten months of the current year increased by nearly 106% compared with the similar period last year.
