Barter With Russia Barter With Russia

Head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Mines, Industries and Trade, Gholam Hossein Shafe’ie says trade with Russia will rise in case barter transactions between the two countries increase, ISNA reported on Tuesday. The official, who made the remarks on the sidelines of the 2nd ceremony to honor top entrepreneurs, added that considering the high volume of trade with Russia as well as some difficulties that Iran still faces in the course of exporting its goods to the neighboring country, including the imposition of higher import duties on Iranian goods by the Russian side, boosting the level of barter transactions can open a new gateway to increase the total trade volume between the two countries.
