Iraq is planning to import quality medicines from Iran, Head of Iran’s Food and Drug Organization Rasoul Dinarvand said on Sunday. “The Iranian and Iraqi health ministries have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the export of Iranian pharmaceutical products to Iraq,” he was quoted by Fars news agency as saying. He also noted that a team of Iranian medical experts have recently traveled to Iraq to discuss ways to facilitate export of medicine to the neighboring country. According to Dinarvand, the Iranian and Iraqi medical experts in their meeting reviewed different topics, including setting up a special committee in Iraq to study and register Iranian medicines.
