Apparel Expos

The Iranian Apparel Exhibition will be held on February 1-4, to coincide with the Turkish Textile and Garment Fair in Tehran, Valliolah afkhamirad, the deputy minister of industries, mines, and trade told ISNA on Friday. “In a bid to help domestic apparel producers familiarize with the developments achieved in Turkey’s garment sector, the Iranian apparel exhibition which was initially scheduled for the Iranian month of Dey (December 22-January 20), was postponed to coincide with the Turkish exhibition,” said Afkhamirad, who is also the head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPO). The two neighboring countries are exploring new avenues to improve trade ties and the concurrent holding of the two exhibitions is in line with these objectives, he added. Experts believe in order to help Iran’s apparel market, illegal import of apparel from other countries should be banned.
