The 6th International Exhibition of Wood Industries will kick off at Tehran’s permanent fairground on February 1, IRNA reported. The organizers say at least 110 companies will showcase their latest products and achievements in the fair. There will be 10 foreign companies participating in the event from countries including Germany, Austria, Italy, and South Korea. The number of foreign participants this year has doubled compared to the 5th exhibition, while the number of domestic companies has registered a 35% growth, according to Vahid Tayebinejad, the head of the steering committee for the exhibition. This year’s exhibition will feature different machinery used in wood industry such as those used in wood cutting production lines, chipboard saws, CNCs, and punchers. Despite the remarkable growths in the country’s wood industry during the past decades, Iran is still far away from self-sufficiency in producing the machinery.
