Imports From Renault Rise

French automaker Renault says it exported 36,300 cars to Iran in 2014, up 9% compared to the previous year, Mehr news agency reported on Tuesday. The French company recorder its highest volume of sales in July with 4,500 cars while only 780 cars were exported to Iran in November. Although the interim nuclear deal between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, which was signed in November 2013, has eased some restrictions on imports of cars and auto parts, the extension of sanctions, including financial restrictions, has made it difficult for importers in Iran to directly deal with European carmakers.
