Iran insurance industry earned 183 trillion rials ($1.28 billion) from premiums during the first six months of the current Iranian fiscal (March-September).
According to data released by the Central Insurance of Iran, the figure shows a growth of 25.4% compared to the same period last year.
The Iran Insurance Company as the only state-owned insurer had a 32.3% share in the earnings, well above other insurers and the rest belonged to private insurance companies.
Iranian insurers also sold over 30.1 million insurance policies, registering an 8.4% increase year-on-year.
