New Iranian Company Repairs Passenger Wagons

Novin Sanat Raja Company, a subsidiary of Raja Railway Transport Company, officially started its activity on Sunday. The newly-founded company specializes in the repair, renovation and maintenance of rail wagons. Mohsen Yavari, the CEO of Novin Sanat Raja Company, said the company will have the capacity to carry out repairs on 1,200 wagons and overhaul 150 wagons per year with the help of local technicians and experts, ILNA reported. “At present, it takes about 110 days to repair wagons. At Novin Sanat, we will try to reduce the period to around 45 days,” said Mohammad Rajabi, CEO of Raja. Raja is an arm of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways, charged with handling passenger transportation.
