Iran Mining PPI Inflation at 22% in Q1

The Producer Price Index for the mining sector in the 12 months ending June 21, which marks the end of spring, increased by 22% compared with the corresponding period of last year, the Statistical Center of Iran reported. The sector’s PPI for the 12 months to March 20, end of winter, increased by 17.3%. The overall PPI of mining sector (using 2011 as the base year) stood at 288.8 in spring, indicating a 14.3% increase compared to the previous quarter (winter) and 32.1% growth over the same quarter of last year.
