New CII Chief Appointed

Gholamreza Soleimani Amiri, the former director of Social Security Organization, secured the approval of President Hassan Rouhani’s Cabinet on Wednesday to replace Abdolnasser Hemmati as the new head of Central Insurance of Iran. As per the statute of CII, the insurance industry’s sole regulator, the nominee for the top insurance post is proposed by the economy minister to the Cabinet, ISNA reported.
