A new platform has been launched to facilitate interactions between the Iranian Cyber Police (FATA) and Iran Fintech Association. “It aims to serve as a channel of safe and quick communications between FATA and IFA to help speed up the processing of the cases filed with FATA,” the head of the association, Milad Jahandar, was quoted as saying by IBENA on Sunday. “The platform provides for more efficient cyber monitoring by oversight bodies and would help reduce the need for imposing blanket Internet filtering that has harmed domestic online businesses,” he added. IFA was set up by a group of Iranian fintech companies in March 2017 on the proposal of the Central Bank of Iran’s IT Department to identify challenges and contact the regulator for solutions.
