A new terminal at Jahrom Airport in the southern Fars Province is under construction, which is expected to become operational in the spring of the fiscal March 2020-21, the director general of Fars Province Airports Company said.
A total of 60 billion rials ($1.39 million) have been allocated for the construction of the terminal which is spread over 1,500 square meters, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development’s news service reported.
Reza Badiei-Fard added that the current terminal at the airport will be knocked down after the new terminal becomes operational.
Jahrom is the capital city of Jahrom County in Fars Province, Iran.
