Fresh fruits registered the highest year-on-year inflation rate of 52.3% over the year ending July 6 while pulses had the lowest inflation rate of 1.2%. The Central Bank of Iran’s report on retail food prices over the week ending July 6 shows that out of 11 food groups, only chicken had the negative year-on-year inflation rate of 3.1%, as the rest of the groups registered positive inflation rates of above 1%.
