Isfahan Subway’s Line-1 Complete

The inauguration ceremony of the final section of Line-1 of Isfahan Subway was held in the presence of First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri on Tuesday.
The section, built as the third phase of the subway’s construction, will cover six stops over a distance of 10 km. Isfahan Subway’s Line-1 currently covers 20 km and is made up of 20 stops with a daily ridership of 40,000, IRNA reported.
“Public transportation requires more focus since many big cities, such as Isfahan, are facing critical environmental situations,” the official said, adding that the construction of subways in eight big cities has become a priority of the government as well as the municipalities.
