Gov’t to Receive 4m Tons of Free Bitumen

The National Iranian Oil Company will provide various ministries and governmental organizations with 4 million tons of free bitumen valued at up to 30 trillion rials ($714.28 million), a parliamentarian said.
“About 54% of the bitumen will go to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development for putting fresh layers of asphalt on urban and rural roads,” Ali Qorbani was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
“Housing Foundation, a government fund committed to provide the poor with housing, will receive 17% of the bitumen to build roads in villages,” he added.
