Some 200 companies from Iran and foreign countries such as Germany, France, Spain, the US, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, the UK, and Sweden are participating in the 11th Energy Exhibition on Kish Island in the south of the country, IRNA reported Sunday. The four-day Kish Enex 2015, which will run until January 15, focuses on investment in oil, gas, petrochemical, water, and electricity sectors, said Mahmood Sediqi, the event organizer. The international exhibition aims to create grounds for investment, more jobs, and familiarize the officials with modern technologies related to energy industry. The event is being held on a 12,000-square-meter venue and showcases equipment, services and technologies related to the energy sector and has the potential to attract foreign investors especially in production and distribution of petroleum and natural gas.
