Confab on Non-Ferrous Metals Industries

Donya-e-Eqtesad Media Group, the Financial Tribune's parent company, is planning to hold a conference on Iran's non-ferrous metals industries by late August, encompassing sectors such as copper, lead, zinc, aluminum and gold.

The Non-Ferrous Metals Industries Market Conference is still in its preliminary planning stages. 

Top government officials and private sector players convened at Donya-e-Eqtesad's headquarters in Tehran on Saturday to discuss the event's objectives and scope.

Some of the officials present at the meeting included Chairman of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization Mehdi Karbasian; advisor to industries minister, Mostafa Moazzenzadeh; Chairman of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Masoud Khansari; the head of ICCIMA's Mining Commission, Bahram Shakouri; Managing Director of National Iranian Copper Industries Company Mohammad Reza Bani-Asadi Rad and the head of Iran Aluminum Syndicate, Houshang Goudarzi.

The conference’s primary goals, as stated by conference manager, Soroush Fouladchi, include discussing Iran’s 2025 outlook for the production, consumption and export of non-ferrous metals, reviewing the Middle East’s investment strategies in the sector, analyzing the industries’ competitiveness in domestic and international markets, exploring avenues to create further added-value in both basic materials and alloys, and developing environmentally-friendly production and recycling technologies.
