Iran exported 181,097 tons of zinc products valued at $386.7 million during the previous fiscal year (March 2017-18), dropping 4.9% in tonnage and growing 46.9% in terms of value year-on-year, according to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization.
Turkey was Iran’s top export destination in terms of value, accounting for $223.6 million of total shipments. It was followed by India with $42.8 million, China with $19 million, Afghanistan with $17.9 million, Taiwan with $17.31 million, South Korea with $17.03 million, the UAE with $15.3 million, Thailand with $8.34 million, Indonesia with $7.2 million, Pakistan with $6.16 million and Qatar with $4.16 million.
Other export destinations included Malaysia with $1.7 million, Vietnam with $1.5 million, Uzbekistan with $1.1 million, Iraq with $766,125, Spain with $698,086, Azerbaijan with $437,367, Singapore with $351,379, Oman with $178,576, Bulgaria with $91,358, Italy with $87,820, Russia with $87,538 and Japan with $43,305.
