Banks to Support Domestic Production

Secretary of the Association of Banks and Private Institution said banks have agreed on a number of schemes to support domestic production. Mohammad Reza Jamshidi also explained that these measures include the issuance of credit cards for the purchase of goods and extension of loans to domestic manufacturers, IBENA reported. Jamshidi added that other strategies are also on agenda, which will be discussed by bankers in the coming days. In a speech aired minutes after the onset of the New Iranian year on March 21, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei called on the entire nation to dedicate their efforts to promoting domestic production. Later in his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei declared that this year’s motto is “support for Iranian products”.
