Hurdles on the way of banking relations between Iran and China are still in place and affecting exports, the deputy director of Iranian Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products Exporters Union said. "One of our problems is that the bulk of our exports are to China, but we are still facing issues with Chinese banks regarding the transfer of foreign currencies," Fariborz Karimaei also told ILNA. According to Karimaei, the issues will persist until a number of underlying problems are resolved. The banking troubles of Iranians with China began a few months ago and affected traders, students and ordinary citizens at various intervals. Officials are currently holding talks to resolve the issues.
