The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) witnessed the offering of local rice on the agricultural trading floor on Wednesday, IME’s public relations and international affairs office reported.
Close to 100 tons of Tarom rice from the northern province of Mazandaran, as well as 200 tons of the same brand of rice from the northeastern province of Golestan were offered on the board. In addition, 100 tons of Tarom rice from another major rice-producing Iranian province, Gilan, and 200 tons of Shirudi rice from Mazandaran and Golestan were supplied for potential customers.
Moreover, Esfahan Steel Company offered 71,540 tons of I-beam on the industrial and mining trading floor. Around 19,000 tons of rebar bundles, and short I-beam with the base price of 14,500 rials per kg were also being traded on Wednesday.
The industrial and mining floor also played host to 1,400 tons of 99.5 percent-purity aluminum ingots, priced 75,360 rials per kg. The Zanjan Zinc Khales Sazan Company also offered 200 tons of 99.97 percent-purity zinc ingots, valued 79,500 rials per kg. In addition, 10 kg of gold bullions was supplied by Mouteh Gold Complex to be listed for trade.
The export trading floor saw more than 100,000 tons of granulated iron ore at the base price of $20 per ton. Moreover, 14,600 tons of bitumen of various grades, and 100 tons of roof insulation were sold on the same trading floor. Also, the export trading floor offered 150 tons of mineral bitumen 6070 for overseas markets.
The report further noted that close to 23,000 tons of chemicals of local petrochemical complexes was put up for bids on the oil and petrochemical trading floor. Ethylene glycol, vinyl acetate monomer, terephthalic acid, sulfuric acid, linear alkyl benzene, industrial urea, linear alkyl benzene, and soda were among polymers and chemicals offered on the oil and petrochemical trading floor for Wednesday’s trade.
