More than 30 Italian companies will attend the first exclusive four-day exhibition of Italian products in Tehran, reported iribnews on Wednesday.

The event will kick off here on January 5. The Italian companies will showcase their latest products in different sectors, including interior designing, urban architecture, building facades, urban planning, and architecture consulting.

The event, which will be held on a 1,200-square-meter venue at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground, will exhibit new designs related to commercial and residential buildings, decorative objects, wall covers, flooring covers, furniture, and office equipment.

The exclusive Italian exhibition in Iran signifies the importance of bilateral relations for the European country especially after the partial removal of sanctions imposed on Iran over its nuclear energy program. Many countries, and Europeans in particular, have expressed their willingness to reenter Iran’s market as a possible comprehensive nuclear agreement, expected to be reached in July, will result in a complete removal of anti-Iran sanctions.

After the interim agreement was reached between Tehran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany in Switzerland in November 2013, dozens of commercial delegations from across Europe travelled to Tehran to secure future contracts with different economic sectors, including auto industry, energy, financial and banking institutions, and steel industry.
