Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index lost 253.54 points or 0.26% to end Wednesday trade at 97,899.2.
About 887 million shares valued at $43.67 million changed hands during the day.
Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.
Alvand Tile Co. was the biggest riser, going up 4.98% to 2,633 rials per share, according to TSE data.
Mehrkam Pars Co. incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies, as it went down 4.88% to 1,559 rials per share.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Fajr Petrochemical Company and Tosee Melli Group Investment Company.
Mobarakeh Steel Company weighed the most on TEDPIX, followed by Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex and Tamin Oil and Petrochemical Investment Company.
The Price Index lost 81.26 points to close at 31,377.2.
First Market Index was down 374.22 points to 69,550.1 and the Second Market Index scored 483.90 points to 208,420.9.
The Industry Index went down 264.10 points to 86,422.6 and the Free Float Index shed 447.05 points to 105,338.93.
The TSE 30 decreased 22.29 points to 42,780.3 and the TSE 50 lost 4.57 points to end at 4,064.
IFX Loses 14.1 Points
Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX lost 14.1 points or 1.29% to close Wednesday trade at 1.082.67.
About 260.63 million securities valued at $43.11 million were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Esfahan Steel Company witnessed the highest number of traded shares and trade value as 48.13 million of its shares worth $1.1 million were traded.
Pegah Golestan Dairy Company, Pardis Housing Investment Company, and Tehran Housing Investment Company registered the highest value increase.
Bahman Diesel Co., Sabzevar Cement Co., and Marun Petrochemical Company suffered the biggest decline.
