World-famous Italian exhibition organizer BolognaFiere and Iran International Exhibitions Company have renewed cooperation agreement for 2018.
As BolognaFiere reported on its website, www.bolognafiere.it, the new agreement will consolidate collaboration between the two exhibition centers and increase the number of events subject to commercial agreements.
The leading exhibition organizer has a strong presence on international markets.
The collaboration between BolognaFiere and IIEC for 2018 will be extended to events related to the construction, automotive, cosmetics and beauty sectors.
The signing of this agreement is the result of long negotiations carried out by the two sides with the contribution of authorities from Emilia Romagna Region and the Embassy of Italy in Iran.
“With this new agreement, we confirm and further develop the role of BolognaFiere as a tool at the disposal of the Italian manufacturing industry to develop new business in markets with the highest growth rates,” said Gianpiero Calzolari, president of BolognaFiere.
“Iran today represents a commercial platform of great attractiveness for companies, a growing market very interested in products, professionalism and technologies exported by our country.”
Palma Costi, deputy mayor for productive activities, Emilia Romagna Region, also noted that the renewal of this important agreement confirms the strong potential expressed by the Italian’s strong economic system and the Iranian growing system.
“In the recent institutional mission in Iran, we have launched a very proactive dialogue about the opportunities for collaboration between our territories. The partnership involving our exhibition systems represents an opportunity for growth for our whole territory due to the interest of the Iranian system in all our production districts, from the automotive industry to tourism and the cultural sector,” she added.
The Bologna Exhibition Center extends over 375,000 square meters of covered and outdoor areas. Its total services area is 36,000 square meters. Its 18 halls are completely wired, air-conditioned and equipped with IT systems, and multiple events can be held simultaneously thanks to five separate entrances.
BolognaFiere is the first exhibition center with its own motorway tollbooth, part of a plan-along with a dynamic third lane-that aims to reduce congestion by providing entrance directly to the fair, thereby avoiding the ring road.
The Iran International Exhibitions Company oversees and operates all international and specialized exhibitions held in Iran. The website at www.iranfair.com features exhibitions calendar as well as trade laws and regulations.
IIEC is affiliated with the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade.
