Located in Masjed Soleyman County of Khuzestan Province, KALCO is capable of producing 11,000 tons of aluminum sections every year, IRNA reported. The project, which was started in the fiscal 2015-16, has now been completed with a 3.63-trillion-rial ($86.42 million) investment, creating more than 600 direct and indirect jobs in the process. Iran is planning to become a net exporter of aluminum from 2019, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization announced. The country will add 350,000 tons of new production capacity by January 2019 to reach 800,000 tons per year.
