A total of 98.14 million tons of oil and non-oil goods were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports during the eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 21), the managing director of Ports and Maritime Organization said. “Of the total sum, 66.26 million tons pertained to non-oil, posting a 6.4% rise compared with the same period of last year and 31.87 million tons to oil products, registering a 0.5% decline year-on-year. During the period, 33.3 million tons and nearly 15.47 million tons of non-oil and oil products were respectively exported from the provincial ports. Imports of non-oil goods stood at 20.45 million tons and oil products at 2.27 million tons,” Mohammad Rastad was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency. “Goods transit amounted to 1.67 million TEU, registering a 29.8% rise year-on-year.”
