Gold coin prices continued their weeklong surge to reach their four-year high in Tehran’s market on Wednesday.
After significant leaps in recent days, Emami gold coin fetched 13.94 million rials ($340) on Wednesday, marking an increase of 50,000 rials compared to Tuesday’s close.
Bahar Azadi gold coin changed hands at 13.25 million rials ($323.1) on Wednesday, registering a whopping increase of 350,000 rials compared with last Wednesday’s close.
Half Azadi and Quarter Azadi experienced an increase of 10,000 rials on Wednesday to change hands for 6.98 million rials ($170.2) and 3.91 million rials ($95.3), respectively.
This is while rial gained against the US dollar in Tehran’s market. The greenback was exchanged at 41,020 rials on Monday, down by 200 rials compared to Tuesday’s close.
