Islamic Revolution Mostazafan Foundation has announced its readiness to supply up to 100,000 tons of cement for reconstruction operations in the quake-stricken Kermanshah Province. This was announced by Mohammad Saeedi-Kia, the head of the foundation, during a visit to the region. The foundation has controlling stakes in some of Iran’s largest cement plants, including Tehran, Hegmatan, Gilan, Nahavand and Ilam cement companies. The foundation had previously allocated 12,000 tons of cement to quake-stricken East and West Azarbaijan provinces in 2012, Mehr News Agency reported. Iran is currently the world’s sixth largest cement producer and third biggest exporter.
