Private lender Eqtesad Novin (EN) Bank has revised its charter as of Monday December 22. The Tehran-based lender held an extraordinary general meeting to make changes to its charter. The meeting was attended by the majority of the bank’s shareholders along with the board of directors, a representative of the Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) and the bank’s auditors. The meeting was chaired by EN Bank CEO, Hasan Motamedi, who outlined the changes to the bank’s charter as necessary for the future development of its services. EN Bank operates throughout Iran with more than 2,000 employees working at 200 branches. Established in 2001, the lender is Iran’s first private bank. It is currently listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange as one of Iran’s top 200 companies.
