Iran’s burgeoning startup scene took another step forward this week, with the 11th iteration of its business meet-ups. The event on Tuesday was held at Tehran University’s Technology campus in central Tehran. The focus of this month’s conversation, presented by web-programmer Cyrus Varza, was “Operations in Silicon Valley”. The second speaker of the day was Hessam Armandehi of Cafebazaar.ir, Iran’s largest indigenous Android smart phone app store. Established in October 2012, Startups Group is the largest startup community in Iran. The group organizes events on Iran’s startup scene and helps new business owners with upgrading their services through mentoring and training.
