Based on the market demand, the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICIC) was offering close to 4,000 tons of copper cathodes, at the base price of 214,308 rials per kg, on the industrial and mining trading floor at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Monday, IME’s public relations and international affairs office reported.

Moreover, the NICIC had 3,500 tons of copper wire, priced 221,597 rials per kg in stock to be listed for trade on the board. Almost 30,000 tons of low-grade copper, 100 tons of molybdenum-sulfur, and 24 tons of precious metals concentrate were among the other commodities that were up for grabs on Monday.

According to the report, 270 tons of copper wire, as well as 60 tons of copper cathodes were supplied by Copper World Company and Kaveh Copper Industries Company, respectively. In addition, 10 kg of various gold bullion of Mouteh Gold Complex was listed on board to be traded on the industrial and mining trading floor.

The report further mentioned that the oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trading of almost 20,398 tons of various polymers of local petrochemical complexes for trade.

More than 33,770 tons of vacuum bottom oil was put out for bids on the same board. Moreover, 51,500 tons of bitumen of various grades, and 3,300 tons of sulfur were supplied on Monday for potential customers.

Monday’s trade also played host to 600 tons of white sugar, 255 tons of Brazilian corn, and 250 tons of cubic sugar on the agricultural trading floor. More than 22,700 tons of bitumen for different applications was also reportedly offered on the export trading floor.

Based on the report, a total of 173,000 tons of various commodities was up for grabs on the spot market at the IME.
