The Second Exhibition of Steel Pipe and Profile Manufacturing and Related Industries concluded in Tehran on Friday after it opened on July 4 following a 10-year hiatus. According to Amir Hossein Kaveh, the head of the Syndicate of Steel Pipe and Profile Manufacturers, the event was organized with the aim of introducing Iranian capabilities in pipe production to international players, marketing domestic products as well as catching up on the latest manufacturing technologies, IRNA reported. Kaveh noted that Iran’s steel pipe and profile output capacity stands at 18.5 million tons per annum, only one-third of which is currently used due to the market slowdown. The syndicate represents 160 Iranian producers.
