Hormozgan Q1 Mineral Exports

Mines in Hormozgan Province exported 183,000 tons of minerals worth over $5 million during the first quarter of the current fiscal year (March 21-June 21), registering a 40% growth in both trade volume and value compared to last year’s corresponding period, the head of Hormozgan Industries, Mining and Trade Organization said. “The minerals were shipped to Persian Gulf littoral states as well as southern Africa,” Khalil Qasemi was also quoted as saying by IRNA. Hormozgan is home to deposits of iron ore, gypsum, chromite, halite and marl.
