Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index lost 293 points or 0.4% during the week that ended June 14 to close at 79,466.

The smaller over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse’s benchmark, IFX, gained 1.4 points or 0.2% to 902.4.

Trading at Iran’s stock market starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.

Over 2.54 billion shares valued at $180.05 million were traded on TSE during the week. The number of traded shares shrank by 69% while trade value grew by 78% compared to the previous week.

TSE’s First Market Index shed 200 points or 0.36% to end at 54,867.

The Second Market Index dropped 665 points or 0.37% to close at 177,716.

At IFB, more than 3.63 billion securities valued at $178.34 million were traded. The number of traded shares and weekly trade value grew by 272% and 46% respectively compared to the previous week.

IFB’s market cap lost $20.34 million or 0.1% to reach $28.25 billion.

Its First Market witnessed the trading of 179 million securities valued at $9.86 million, indicating a 64% and 45% uptick in the number of traded securities and trade value respectively.

About 313 million securities valued at $18.23 million were traded in the Second Market, with the number of traded securities shrinking by 23% and trade value rising by 5% week-on-week.
