Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index gained 802 points or 1% during the week that ended May 24 to close at 81,146.
IFX, the over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse’s benchmark, lost 11 points or 1.2% during the week to 927.
Trading at the two exchanges begins on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.
Over 5.2 billion shares valued at $465.18 million were traded on TSE during the past week. The number of traded shares and trade value shrank by 46% and 3.04% respectively compared to the previous week.
TSE’s First Market Index gained 227 points or 0.4% to end at 56,011.
The Second Market Index won 3,663 points or 2.06% to close at 181,571.
At IFB, more than 2.76 billion securities valued at $222.7 million were traded. The number of traded shares and weekly trade value grew by 145% and 41% respectively compared to the previous week.
IFB’s market cap added $9.36 million or 0.03% to reach $28.54 billion.
Its First Market witnessed the trading of 155 million securities valued at $10.52 million, indicating an 84% and 96% upturn in the number of traded securities and trade value respectively.
About 465 million securities valued at $64.92 million were traded in the Second Market, with the number of traded securities and trade value rising by 8% and 85% week-on-week respectively.
