Rail Exhibition in Tehran

The Fifth International Exhibition of Rail Transportation, Related Industries and Equipment opens in Tehran International Permanent Fairground on Monday and runs until May 18.

Some 300 domestic and foreign companies, including those from Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, France, India, Ukraine, New Zealand, Turkey, Latvia, Spain, Russia, China, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Italy and Germany, are participating in the event, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development’s news service reported.

The exhibition is being held at a time when the government has put expansion of Iran’s rail industry on top of its agenda to reduce fuel consumption and tackle air pollution.
