Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index gained 372 points or 0.5% during the week that ended May 3 to close at 79,969.
IFX, the over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse’s benchmark, gained 15 points or 1.6% during the week to 937.
Trading at the two exchanges begins on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.
Over 5.7 billion shares valued at $314.42 million were traded on TSE last week. The number of traded shares and trade value grew by 20% and 70% compared to the previous week.
TSE’s First Market Index added 326 points or 0.6% to end at 55,404.
The Second Market Index gained 447 points or 0.3% to close at 177,753.
At IFB, more than 3.24 billion securities valued at $324.8 million were traded. The number of traded shares dropped and weekly trade value grew by 43% and 14% respectively compared to the previous week.
IFB’s market cap gained $473.9 million or 1.6% to reach $29.39 billion.
Its First Market witnessed the trading of 156 million securities valued at $9.39 million, indicating a 26% and 21% downturn in both the number of traded securities and trade value respectively.
About 963 million securities valued at $63.21 million were traded in the Second Market, with the number of traded securities and trade value rising by 16% and 13% week-on-week respectively.
