The Central Bank of Iran has published statistics announcing the volume of marriage loans allocated by the banking system from the fiscal March 2009-10 up to the end of the last fiscal year (March 20, 2017).In 2009, Iranian banks handed out some 20 trillion rials ($533.3 million) in marriage loans, increasing the amount of loans to 111.3 trillion rials (2.96 billion) by March 20, 2013. During this period, 191.3 trillion rials ($5.09 billion) were paid out, with the last year accounting for the highest volume of marriage loans, amounting to 98 trillion rials ($2.613 billion).
