Tehran Stock Exchange’s primary index TEDPIX added 106 points or 0.1% during the trading week that ended April 5 and stood at 77,690.

IFX, the main index of over-the-counter market Iran Fara Bourse also gained 2 points or 0.3% to reach 889.

TSE and IFB were both closed on Saturday and Sunday.

TSE witnessed the trading of 2.82 billion shares valued at $134.3 million during the week. The number of traded shares and weekly trade value grew by 25% and 0.5% respectively.

The TSE’s First Market Index dropped 2 points or less than 0.01% to end at 54,527 and the Second Market Index advanced by 650 points or 0.39% to close at 168,791.

IFB traded 629 million securities valued at $57.7 million, with the number of traded shares and trade value dropping 17% and 72% respectively. IFB’s market cap lost $129.7 million or 0.5% to reach $27.84 billion.

IFB’s First Market witnessed the trading of 146 million securities valued at $8.3 million, indicating a 24% and 28% rise in the number of traded securities and trade value respectively.

Some 105 million securities valued at $12.6 million were traded in the Second Market, indicating a 37% and 38% decline respectively.

The ‘industrial contracting’ group of IFB-listed industries had the highest weekly rise in share value (14%). ‘Base metals’ (13%) and ‘chemical products’ (10%) came next.
