Two measures must be taken to end the lingering recession in the housing sector, said the secretary of Builders Association–a guild establishment that works in coordination with policymakers in the housing sector. “The first thing is to reform the banking system and review the mortgage lending regulations and the second is for the parliament to conduct an immediate survey of barriers to housing construction,” Farshid Pourhajat was also quoted as saying by Banker.ir. “If we ignore the recession in the housing sector, the problem will worsen since under the current circumstances, builders will end up being bankrupt and it would be difficult to find a replacement for these builders.” Purhajat noted that presales must be reviewed as the most important tool in the construction sector. “Lawmakers need to follow up on the issue,” he said.
