Marriage Loans to Set Record

Since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2016), up to 850,000 marriage loans have been allocated to couples, announced the head of Central Bank of Iran’s Credit Department.”Between 830,000 and 850,000 marriage loans have been allocated during the current year and we hope the figure will reach 1 million by the yearend,” Asghar Mirmohammad Sadeqi also told Fars News Agency. Sadeqi noted that the goal was to extend 1.2 million marriage loans in the current year, although reaching the 1 million figure will set a record in the banking system. “The plan to allocate 1 million marriage loans during the current year is underway while the ceiling for loans has increased from 30 million rials ($800) to 100 million rials ($2,600),” he said.
