The US dollar was quoted in the free market at 38,200 rials on Monday. According to the Association of Bureaux de Change Operators of Iran, rial strengthened from 38,250 to 38,000 per dollar compared with Tuesday’s close. The dollar’s exchange rate briefly reached 40,050 rials at 11 a.m., according to the association’s website. Euro experienced a 100-rial drop on Wednesday and was exchanged at 41,900 rials. British pound’s exchange rate remained unchanged at 48,700 rials. Turkish lira was exchanged for 10,400 rials, gaining 100 rials after successive drops in recent weeks.
Bahar Azadi gold coin was traded at 11.46 million rials ($301) on Wednesday, unchanged compared with the previous day’s close. However, Half Bahar Azadi coin experienced a 2.12% increase in price and was sold for 6.26 million rials ($165).
