9.2m Investors in Iran’s Securities Markets

Presently 9.2 million investors are trading in Iran’s securities market, the head of Central Securities Depository of Iran said.

“A total of 22,500 codes were issued in the three weeks to January 19,” Mohammad Reza Mohseni was quoted as saying by IRNA.

As of December 20, 769 investors were from foreign countries, including the US, the UK, Spain, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Uzbekistan, China, the Netherlands, India, Turkey, Lebanon, South Africa, Japan, Cyprus, the UAE, Norway, Greece, Maldives, Poland, Hong Kong, Qatar, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Luxemburg, Kuwait, New Zealand, Malaysia, South Korea, Georgia, Armenia and Afghanistan.
