Iran exported $390 million worth of commodities to Oman in the seven months to October 21, 2016, according to the president of Iran-Oman Chamber of Commerce.  “Iran’s exports to the neighboring country stood at $148 million for the year ending March 20, 2014,” Mohsen Zarrabi was quoted as saying by IRNA. “Exports are estimated to reach $600 million by the yearend (March 20, 2017), thanks partly to the opening of Sohar-Chabahar shipping route.” The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s data show steel products, livestock, bitumen, petrochemicals, copper cathode, cement, stone, saffron and carpets are among Iran’s main exports to Oman.
