The US dollar on Tuesday was exchanged for 39,700 rials in Tehran's market, coming closest to the 40,000 rials in recent history, according to the Association of Bureaux de Change Operators of Iran. The currency was sold for 39,450 rials on Monday. Euro was traded for 42,500 rials, unchanged from Monday’s close.
British pound gained 100 rials and changed hands for 49,200 rials on Tuesday.
Turkish lira’s rate against the rial remained unchanged, trading for 11,500 rials.
Bahar Azadi Gold Coin was sold for 11,200,000 rials, unchanged compared with Monday’s close, TGJU.org reported.
Emami Gold Coin was sold for 11.3 million rials, up by 11,000 rials.
